Joining The Village

The Village is a homeschool community where families gather to learn, explore, and support one another.

Membership allows families to participate in Village gatherings, connect with other homeschool families, and become part of a community built around curiosity, collaboration, and meaningful relationships.

Families join The Village not only for activities and learning experiences, but for the friendships and encouragement that grow through shared time together.

At its heart, The Village exists to create a space where families can feel supported, children can build friendships, and learning can happen naturally through connection and experience.

What Membership Includes

Village membership connects families to a welcoming community and a variety of shared experiences throughout the year.

Members have the opportunity to participate in:

• Weekly learning gatherings with their local Tribe
• Community activities and themed learning experiences
• Field trips and seasonal events
• Service and leadership opportunities for older students
• Parent connection and support throughout the homeschooling journey

Each gathering is designed to encourage curiosity, creativity, and collaboration while allowing children to form meaningful friendships with others in the community.

Our Community Model

The Village is a parent-supported community, meaning families participate together in the experience.

Rather than operating as a drop-off program, parents remain present and engaged in the life of the community. This helps create a welcoming and supportive environment where children feel safe to explore, learn, and grow.

Some parents help lead activities or share their interests and knowledge. Others assist with organizing events or supporting the gathering in small ways.

Every family contributes in their own way, helping strengthen the community for everyone involved.

Seasonal Tribes

Within each Chapter, families gather in smaller groups called Tribes.

Tribes are consistent groups of families who meet regularly for learning days, activities, and community time.

Because Tribes form around the families participating each season, the specific tribes may change throughout the year. This flexible structure allows our community to grow naturally while keeping gatherings welcoming and relationship-centered.

If you are interested in joining a tribe in your area, we would be happy to help connect you with current gatherings within your Chapter.

How to Join

Joining The Village is simple and we welcome new families throughout the year.

Step 1 — Join Our Community

Start by joining our online community where families stay connected, receive updates, and learn about upcoming gatherings.

This is the main place where we share tribe locations, seasonal gatherings, and community announcements.

Join Our Community

Step 2 — Complete the Membership Form

Once you’ve joined the community, complete the membership form so we can get to know your family and connect you with the Chapter that serves your area.

Step 3 — Connect With a Tribe

After joining, we will help connect you with an active Tribe gathering within your Chapter so you can begin participating in learning days and community activities.

From there, you’re part of the Village.

A Community That Grows With You

Families come to The Village at many different stages of their homeschooling journey.

Some are just beginning and looking for connection.
Others have been homeschooling for years and are seeking deeper community.

Children arrive with different personalities, interests, and learning styles.

The Village is designed to be a welcoming environment where families can settle in at their own pace and build relationships over time.

Over time, something meaningful begins to happen.

Children recognize familiar faces.
Friendships begin to form.
Parents find encouragement and support.

What begins as a simple gathering grows into something deeper — a community where families belong.

What Families Value Most About The Village

Families join The Village for many different reasons, but over time we often hear the same things shared again and again.

Parents value the opportunity for their children to build real friendships with other homeschoolers.

Children enjoy gathering with familiar faces, working together on projects, exploring outdoors, and simply having space to play and grow alongside peers.

Many families also find encouragement and connection with other parents who understand the homeschooling journey.

Over time, the gatherings begin to feel less like scheduled events and more like a place where families belong.
