About The Village

Our Story

The Village began with a simple realization.

While homeschooling offers incredible opportunities for children to learn in meaningful and flexible ways, many families eventually discover that the most challenging part of the journey isn’t the academics.

It’s the isolation.

Children need friendships and collaboration.
Parents need support and connection.
Families thrive when they feel part of something larger than themselves.

The Village was created to bring homeschooling families together in a way that feels natural, welcoming, and supportive.

What began as a small gathering of families has grown into a community where children learn alongside one another, parents share encouragement and resources, and meaningful relationships take root.

At its heart, The Village exists to create the kind of community many families wish they had when they first began their homeschooling journey.

Our Philosophy

We believe learning happens best in environments where children feel curious, supported, and connected.

Rather than focusing only on traditional instruction, The Village encourages learning through exploration, collaboration, and shared experiences.

Children naturally learn from one another when they gather in mixed-age groups. Younger children observe and grow through the example of older peers, while older students gain confidence and leadership skills as they mentor and guide those around them.

Our gatherings encourage:

• curiosity and exploration
• creativity and imagination
• collaboration and teamwork
• confidence and leadership
• meaningful friendships

Learning becomes something that grows naturally through conversation, play, discovery, and community.

A Community for Families

The Village is not simply a program or a class.

It is a community of families who are navigating the homeschooling journey together.

Parents remain an active part of the experience, contributing their time, knowledge, and encouragement to help create a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone.

Some families come seeking friendships for their children.
Others are looking for connection and support as parents.

Most discover that they have found both.

Over time, families begin to recognize familiar faces, children form lasting friendships, and gatherings begin to feel less like scheduled events and more like a place where people belong.

Growing Together

The Village continues to grow as more families discover the value of learning and connecting in community.

Our network is organized through local Chapters and Tribes so that gatherings can remain welcoming, personal, and relationship-centered even as the community expands.

Each Chapter connects families within a region, while smaller Tribes provide consistent groups where friendships and learning can deepen over time.

This structure allows the community to grow naturally while still preserving the sense of closeness that makes The Village special.

Looking Toward the Future

Our hope is simple.

We want to see communities where families gather regularly, children grow alongside friends, and parents feel supported in the important work of raising and educating their children.

As The Village grows, we hope to see more families inspired to create spaces where connection, curiosity, and community can flourish.

Because when families come together with intention, something meaningful begins to take shape.

Not just a group.

A community.

A village.
